My name is Carmie.  I was born and raised in Washington State, but have lived in Missouri for about 11 years.  I got my first tattoo the summer of 1985; I paid $20 to get a small rose on my leg while sitting on the hood of my car at Peoples Park in Spokane, WA. (Lol..I know!). My best friend at the time got her first tattoo on her ankle that same day. I have dabbled in tattooing over the years with friends, but never had  the opportunity to tattoo as a licensed professional before apprenticing with Gary, I work at Goldenlands Tattoos in St. Louis, MO where I have been since 2005.

My mom is an extremely talented artist/painter. She encouraged my brothers and I to draw from a very young age.  Drawing has been a part of my life since I can remember. Thank .You Mom!  I have never received formal art training other than help from my mom as a kid. I am hoping to some day take a few art/paining classes.... My goal right now is to keep improving as a Tattooer; it is an ongoing learning experience!
